Rehash of Run # 1609: Firkin, 14 Cellars Way
Rehash of Firkin’s rather fine run followed by rather fine chilli con carne…if that is the correct term????
A fine, frosty, firm, fable forming, fabulous, facetious, facile, facinorous evening. An ensemble of mostly true hashes entered by the front portal of the firkin establishment and proceeded to inflict on each other the usual hash procedure of drinking piss and telling lies before the realisation struck that SIF was not going to turn up with the register. Self checked my phone to find that a txt had been sent to ask me to pick up the said register. Unfortunately I have a thingy that only rings once when a txt arrives so I do not always hear it. Paper was produced to scribble on and the pack were sent off into the gloom an what turned out to be a fine bit of trail. Well, actually, a fine lot of trail which saw the FRB’s running wildly and the SCB’s keeping up due to the dark and the badly set trail and the lack of marks and that of course was some of the excuses put forward by a struggling bunch of FRB’s. Personally, I just kept plodding along going “ouch” and “ooh” and “F*** that hurts” and “oh my god” and other such screeeachinly blurted vocalisations of the pain my knee was in!
By this stage we were in the mire of a subdivision to be, with mud up to our kneesies and needing a beersies unlike the plonker in the anti-beer ad on tv. Soooo, firkin, being a hare of the first order gave us a more than welcome piss stop.
On and into a huge loop through more mud than the race at Motukarara while the SCB’s wandered in a daze of flour on roads with no names to finally hit some mud themselves just before the On Home sign hove into view.
A fine run.
Fines circle, and with no reg the talk was about Nash Hash, Pan Asia, Interhash, Eurohash etc
Mentioned in dispatches , were Link, Loco, Wowo, Frigid and others with Doris in for lost property but overshadowing all others was the sight of Mr Plank’s awful ar*e being spread just before we were to eat.
Oh my G did that nearly put us off, but Deb’s fine cooking soon sorted that one out and the team tucked into a fine spread along with a beer or two.
Thanks Firkin and Deb’s…a goodly night!!!
Next week’s run:- Triple S from 23 Campion Place Rolleston.
