Rehash of Run 1613, Governors Bay
Sundays run was an absolute cracker in lovely weather in a great locale! Thanks Sherlock for hosting us!!

Run # 1613, Governors Bay.
with mist rolling round the port Hills the prospect of a dismal morning on the other side looked likely, having done a quick drive by to the landmarks, and quizzed a landowner about access, the trail begun and was completed by 10.30, so a beerstop was had before opening time at The GB Pub. But was sprung by Fingers and Jammit.
A 4x4 and poptop caravan thingy was seen lounging near the Fire Station, turns out it is owned by The just nose gang, after all had assembled , the off was had and they dissapeared off up the hill. at this point a couple of fresh locals were located and one was attached to Brick Shithouses van and the other was lovingly laid out on Oxfams grill. The 1st pissstop was held on some plonkers driveway, only his wife protested, seems he is a work acquaintance of Dagys, Labrat reckoned some old nag living up on the hill gave her some verbal about trespassing on her driveway on their way down to the reserve. At this point the sun came out and gave everyone a new lease of energy and they run and wandered off down near the sea for a picturesque view of Lyttelton harbour. At the 2nd PS, garlick bread that Sherlock had prepared was served up and they were on their way again round the bay, through mud and fallen logs. Just out decided he was pissed off with all the walking and headed back to his poptop.
The 3rd ps was held on Church lane, which really was a dark leavy access way from the beach up to the old Vicarage, the drivers were trucked back to the fire Station , while the remainder and dogs wandered aimlessly along the waterfront to Allandale reserve.
reassembled again, Dagy did a live hair up to sherlocks place balanced on sifs running board.
With a good view up the harbour a leisurely lunch was had by all in the sun, although the picked walnuts were not everyones cup of tea, Brick had some kerosene that required useing as fines mix, not a bad drop either. And no one interfared with Sherlocks spa pool , like we had done years ago with Shaggers Backs after the City to Surf
