Garbage for 9th April
Rehash Dog’s first DARK run of the winter!!
A rambunctious crowd turned up to find dogs
stirring with one hand some home brewe and the other a wicked curry. To combt
this, many bottles of speights old dark were consumed before the pack was sent
on it’s way into the gloom….torches at the short trail. With the instructions
that the FRB’s would be following the SCB’s for much of the trail; all and
sundry were in a state of panic wondering what that sould mean. Six or so
runners set off with, at one stage, SIF in front of One Loos; to which he took
exception and put on a grand spurt. We FRB’s soon found out what was meant when
we came across the short trail intersecting ours and concluded that the walkers
were in front. So it turned out and it was good to see that the walkers were in
fact walking fast and thinking about any short cuts. The Frb’s found a short cut
though and just caught up with the rest of the pack as we all arrived at the
piss stop. Perfect trail setting Dogs! Off again and more good trail saw Loos
and Crutch stuff up and Nice But walk right past Run Walkers split asking where
trail was and Dogs pointedly pointing out a huge W and a huge R in the middle of
the path. The walkers were setting a good pace but that was probably good to
keep the pack together. Good to see that the dawdling has stopped. Long may it
continue!! After such and more confusion it was a relief to find another piss
stop by the river followed by the On Home
call.
