Rehash Run # 1607 by Dagy & SIF June 11
At which 21 of the unfaithful made hard work of a simple (but brilliantly laid) trail!!
The hares, Dagy and SIF arrived at Robbies bar on Normans road with no idea of where we were going to set the trail! Having deposited Loco, Claytons and Ebony in the bar we looked at the map and started setting trail at 1716.
Back in the bar by 1759 and a job well done. A superb trail set with cunning checks and loops which would keep the pack together through thick and thin.
The mob started to arrive and “knock me down with a feather” who should stroll through the time portal but Hooters and Cradlesnatch, accompanied by a new boot called Pam. Then, RLD made a cameo appearance to say hello to C&E while the rest of the troops galloped in much to Pam’s delight (being a horse trainer)
Eventually, like Glo Worm, we gave up on Labrat arriving on time (such an alchoholic…..sorry, workaholic) and the pack were called outside whereupon the said hussy stormed in, and then out cos that’s where we were! Confused? So is the scribe…..some says I always is!
Trail basically took a perambulatory stroll around St Andrews square. However, a couple of deviarse tricks were used to keep the pack on their toes. One was to put a check in Elmwood park and have the trail stating back as in a back check. A simple ploy, one would have thought, but even Loco got wet feet searching the playing fields for trail. The hares, in the meantime, were standing at the piss stop drinking beer and telling lies to each other outside a most select tennis club while fielding calls from RLD and Labrat as to “how far is it” and “where is it” and “have I time to do it before squash”
And other not to be repeated questions!!!!
The pack arrived all in a flurry of sweat (not) and rapidly consumed three bags of crisps while guzzling a little beer. As the night was balmy and the hares were viewing it through rose tinted ( read bottle top) glasses we sent the assembled covey of wannabeeees off on the second bit of trail. Having been told there was only one piss stop most of the SCB’s gave up on trail and headed back to the pub while a few stayers made it to the second piss stop where the hares and an injured Oxy laid out hot chips for Afrika (old spelling)and India of which Doris and Furlined consumed so much that they did nto order any fodder when they got back to the pub!!
Back to Robbies and a quich fines circle outside:-
Back into a very crowded pub which had four functions on that Tuesday night, and they coped well!!
Food was ordered and came out blooming quickly and was gobbled down even more quickly.
Labrat made her first sale as haberdasher!!!!!!
Next weeks run Worka Shirka 78 Stourbridge St This will be a completely different run from Monday nights which is also Worka’s from the same address.
Get those Winter camp rego’s in please!
